Question Buying a van and cruising oz solo, experience?

Anyone (girls/boys) has experience with buying ur own van and driving solo around oz? Im on my way down there and are planing on a roadtrip+working++cruising+chill for a year or so. Is it easily to meet up with other peoples as im just planning on staying in the car not at hostels, like at campsites/caravan stops etc? Will it be crazyli expensive for one person doing this kind of trip? im on budget of course
Any tips will be deeply appreciated!

Hi John no its not crazy lots do it, you will meet lots of nice people and see some fantastic places. It will be exy, however to work on the way you could do it on a budget. I would advise buying camp5 which lists a lot of free and cheap camping spots throughout the country. They come with a complete set of maps and are very easy to use. you can buy these in most camping stores as well as department stores, bookshops, if you join the racq you can get this book at a discount rate and also get reductions on many other things like maps and entres into attractions plus having peace of mind with your vehicle if you have a breakdown, another 1 John if you are on the road and fill up with feul in the large sevos go in and ask for the truckies key you can get a shower, always try get to the information centres in most towns they will advise on cheap camping areas, just remember though John sleeping in a car is going to be bloody hot I would advise getting a small tent or even better a swag.hope this little snippet helps mate if I can help more let me Know good luck and have a safe and fantastic trip. Alan

Default Buying a van and cruising oz solo experience

We like Woodhill Park just before you get to Cromer, but not very good beach access from there, its on top of the cliffs, but great scenery and a good childrens playground.
