Hi,
well it depends on where you want to go. Caravan park or camp site usually outside or far away from town. If you go to National park, camp site is way cheaper. Seen many have "Wicked" campervans, hire cheap as chips

Camping and staying in a hostel is a way lot different. You can never find the comforts of a hotel when you camp outside the campsites. But I tell you guys the fun and adventure of lying under the skies is a very relaxing and somewhat romantic experience for you and the rest of the group. But it also depends on where and when are you planning to camp so better be ahead of time and plan your trip now. God bless.

noosa accommodation
The Rise Noosa Apartments offers luxury holiday apartment accommodation in Noosa Heads on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with a resort lifestyle.
I would say you are better off staying in a low budget backpackers in cities, and camping in more remote areas. As mentioned, camping in National Parks is cheap though you will need to get a permit - in most cases in advance.
Well from experience, everything is cheaper when you're actually there...Travelling around Kiwiland I booked only the start and finish and left the rest to chance. Of course it's much easier if you have a back up plan (campervan, caravan, tent etc) so worst case scenario you do actually have somewhere to sleep.
Well I think it all depends upon where are you travelling? If the place is natural, open and away from populated areas, then camping will be better option. You will have fun enjoying nature, but again that depends upon place.
That's rights Mike. Camping is a good idea and full of enjoyment but what Mike said it depends on the place.
