    Cool Melbourne - Sydney Coastal Drive

    I am planning to drive from melb to syd along the coast and experiencing the magnificent sights and nature along the way .. I just wanted to know if its alright take my own car or shld i rent a car ..

    Also if there are any goods rest stops do let us know ..

    Mate there would be no problem in taking your own car along the coast road it is pretty good all the way. As for rest stops sorry I can not help you with that.

    It's a great drive mate. I drove fromSydney to Perth a couple of years ago, but I took the ferry rather than go through Melbourne. There are plenty of road side stops or lookouts and there are good motels along the way. The roads are good so as long as your car is up to the distance there is no reason for you not to take it. I am sure that you will have a a wonderful time.

    Go and check out Bittangabee Bay and Green Cape. awesome scenery and great fishing aswell

    You should also visit if possible

    Bondi Beach
    Sydney's world famous beach, for swimming, surfing, eating, walking, or to see and be seen

    The Manly ferry leaves from Circular Quay out to the heads every 30 minutes. .

    There is a book called 'Camps 5' that details many rest stops all over the country

    Melbourne is a beautiful place to visit, So come down and enjoy chilling in a simple and modern place.
